Welcome to our School

We are a one form entry village infant school situated on the Surrey/Hampshire border and teach children aged from 4-7. We place high priority on well being, relationships and having a can do/ have a go attitude. We promote children’s development spiritually, morally, socially and culturally, whilst challenging them to become successful academically.
Our curriculum is rich and varied to support every child in becoming a confident and independent learner. Our staff are highly experienced in teaching and learning.
Our school is committed to offering the highest quality learning experience to every child. As a Church of England school at the heart of Tongham village community, we set out to promote and nurture Christian and moral values within a happy environment where everyone feels valued and secure. Our core values are courage, compassion and community.
We have high expectations of all members of the school community in all aspects of their school life, continually reviewing our objectives, celebrating our achievements and always striving to improve.

    World Book Day
Dear Parent/Carer, We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March. This year our theme is Elmer the Elephant. We would like all the children to come to school dressed in one colour. Maybe you will choose red, or blue or your favourite colour. We will be making Elmer ears with everyone in school. We have a lot of exciting activities planned. In the morning each class will visit Waterstones in Farnham and choose a World Book Day book. We would like to invite you or a grandparent into school to share a story with your child at 2.45pm. After school we will be holding a book swap, so please send in a book you no longer want for us to add to our stall.

    Ofsted Report
Dear Parent/Carer We are delighted to announce that after our recent two-day Ofsted inspection carried out in September we have been awarded ‘Good’ in all areas. We are incredibly proud of all the children and staff and wider school community for helping the school to be successful. As you may know, we changed our whole curriculum in September 2022 to ensure that our children were as successful as possible in their learning. We now have an ambitious curriculum filled with a range of experiences and hands-on learning opportunities. We are delighted that Ofsted noted: ‘Pupils benefit greatly from the improved school curriculum. They are now achieving well.’ We are exceptionally pleased with the progress that the school has made and are thrilled that this is reflected in Ofsted’s report. Furthermore, we are encouraged that the areas identified for further development reflect the priorities in our School Development Plan for this academic year. Once again, well done and thank you to all the staff and children for helping to make our school so special. A copy of the report is attached. Yours sincerely Tom Hilyard Karen Lambert Headteacher Chair of Governors

    Author Visit
Today, we had a special visit from author Emma Perry. She visited all of the children in their classrooms and shared her amazing 'Know It Owl' book with them. Each child will be bringing home a signed copy. Thank you to the PTA for funding this great opportunity.
