Outdoor Gym - Coming Soon

We’re excited to let you know that we will be installing a Children’s Outdoor Gym at school during the Easter holidays.

This new equipment is designed specifically for primary-aged children and will give them the chance to develop strength, coordination and fitness in a fun, child-friendly way. It includes a range of stations that help children to:

  • Build core strength and coordination – supporting posture, handwriting and readiness to learn in class

  • Improve balance and gross motor skills – especially helpful for children who need extra support with physical development

  • Boost cardiovascular fitness – encouraging active lifestyles from an early age

  • Develop resilience and confidence – children can challenge themselves, try new movements and see their own progress

  • Support emotional regulation and wellbeing – regular movement breaks are proven to help children manage anxiety, focus better and feel calmer

  • Enjoy active play together – promoting teamwork, turn-taking and positive social interaction

The gym will be installed over the Easter holidays, ready for the children to use in the summer term. It will be used:

  • In PE lessons and structured physical development sessions

  • As part of active playtimes and lunchtimes

  • For targeted interventions, providing regular movement and sensory breaks

We’re really looking forward to seeing the children enjoy this new addition to our outdoor provision and to the positive impact it will have on their health, wellbeing and readiness to learn.
